Films on Friday is a beloved UUCR tradition - a fun and enlightening (and delicious!) event, hosted by Bill on the first Friday of most months. Do come join us for our continuing showings of independent or lesser-seen “moving pictures.’’ Come watch good movies with good people! Tell your friends! See you there!

7:00pm: Snacks (+ Bill’s pies) & social
7:30pm: Movie

The film title is typically added to the UUCR event calendar the week before the event and is also shared in our eBlast newsletter. The event is free, but snacks and donations are always appreciated.

“The Lunchbox” - In Mumbai, lonely housewife Ila decides to try adding some spice to her stale marriage by preparing a special lunch for her neglectful husband. Unfortunately, the delivery goes astray and winds up in the hands of Saajan, an irritable widower. Curious about her husband's lack of response, Ila adds a note to the next day's lunchbox, and thus begins an unusual friendship in which Saajan and Ila can talk about their joys and sorrows without ever meeting in person.
