Films on Friday is back from its Covid break! Films on Friday is a beloved UUCR tradition - a fun and enlightening (and delicious!) event, hosted by Bill and Judith on the first Friday of most months. Do come join us for our continuing showings of independent or lesser-seen “moving pictures.’’ Come watch good movies with good people! Tell your friends! See you there!

8:00pm: Snacks (+ Bill’s pies) & social
8:30pm: Movie

The film title is typically added to the UUCR event calendar the week before the event and is also shared in our eBlast newsletter. The event is free, but snacks and donations are always appreciated.

Friday, September 5 at 8:00pm - “Sunlight” - An unconventional comedic love story between a man and a woman who doesn't want to come out of a monkey suit. Jane creates a new persona of 'Monkey' when she disappears into costume. She strives to break free from a toxic relationship when she encounters a suicidal radio show host, Roy, who 'presents a path to freedom'. The unlikely pair go on a road trip and find solace in each other.
