This year’s 25th anniversary Alternative Gift Market and Craft Fair will be both in-person and on-line. The in-person AGM will be held on Saturday, December 6th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the sanctuary. The on-line market will be available from November 28th to December 7th. This holiday season, UUCR’s Alternative Gift Market (AGM) and Craft Fair celebrates 25 years of turning compassion into action! The AGM is designed to create a convenient, one-stop experience for those seeking to make their own charitable contributions or to make donations in lieu of traditional holiday gifts. Shoppers can review and choose from 60+ predetermined, tax-deductible donation packages. Each purchase is accompanied by a gift card and insert describing the beneficiary organization. You will also receive a receipt for tax purposes with every purchase.
Shop in-person on December 6th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary, 1625 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, Virginia. We are looking forward to seeing you at our market.

You can pay by check made out to UUCR with “AGM” in the memo line or pay online using the Giving link at the top of this page.
Gift items cover the cost of a good or service provided by the charity. For example, $50 rent or utility assistance, $200 provides a month of health care coverage for an area child, $20 provides healthy food for a local resident, and $10 provides children’s books.
Participating local organizations include CASA Fairfax, Cornerstones, Friends of Homeless Animals, Helping Hungry Kids, LAWS Sexual Assault Services, Kids R First, Medical Care for Children Partnership, FISH, Fairfax Diapers, and OAR NOVA. Global organizations include American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), Hogar Infantil, DIGNO, and Heifer International.
An attractive holiday card and an insert describing your gift will be provided to you in person, or by e-mail if you participate in the on-line market. UUCR covers all expenses and overhead; 100% of donations are distributed to the charities.
Amani Africa and Ukrainian Relief will have tables at the AGM offering a wide selection of ethically sourced, handcrafted goods and unique gifts.
