Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church in Reston (UUCR)!

We believe in the dignity and worth of each person and we celebrate the diversity in our community.  We aspire to radical hospitality and inclusion.

We welcome people of any age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, nationality, ability, family, or culture.  We welcome you if you are conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican, socialist, or independent.  We welcome you if you are already a Unitarian Universalist or if you are just finding out about us.  We welcome you if you are Jewish, Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindi, Muslim, Sikh, – or if you are spiritual but not religious. We teach that we do not have to think alike or pray alike to love, worship and work for justice together.

We are a midsize, growing congregation that is committed to deepening our spirituality, seeking justice, and serving our community.  We celebrate religious freedom, religious pluralism, and the individual search for truth and meaning.  Love is the spirit of our church.

We welcome you to visit any Sunday morning!  Our services are held at 10 a.m. at 1625 Wiehle Avenue in Reston. (Click here for more information on visiting.)  We hope you will spend time on our website.  To learn more about Unitarian Universalism in the U.S. visit www.uua.org

Almost thirty years ago, I walked into my first Unitarian Universalist service.  It changed my life.  Perhaps a visit to UUCR will change yours.

I look forward to meeting you soon.  Welcome!
