Many UUCR Members, Friends and Staff attended the March for Our Live on Saturday, March 24. They  joined the estimated 800,000 students, teachers, parents and allies that attended the march to rally for increased gun control and school safety measures. The March for Our Lives was organized by #NeverAgain, a student-led organization created by Stoneman Douglas High School students that advocates for tighter regulations to prevent gun violence.

UUCR has a long history of social activism and working for a just and safe world for all. We are grateful to those who rallied on March 24. As Rebecca Schneid, a sixteen-year-old Parkland survivor said: “We understand that this is a marathon and that we’ll be fighting for years. We’re just getting started. Now we have to use our rights as voters to make things change.” We welcome all who want to support our social action and justice efforts.
