The UUCR Caring Circle provides support for Friends and Members in times of need.  The Caring Circle maintains a list of Helping Hands, people who volunteer to provide assistance for a specific, one-time request.  When a request for support is received by the Caring Circle, an email is sent to Helping Hands volunteers who indicated an interest in providing the specific requested activity.

Examples of some of the specific services Helping Hands volunteers provide are below:

 

  • Help with shopping

  • Relieve a caregiver for several hours

  • Visit the homebound

  • Provide a meal 

  • Provide transportation to church or appointments

  • Help with yard care and snow removal

  • Assist in memorial services and receptions
